NOOMA®

When I worked at Flannel, the non-profit company that produced the NOOMA® films, I was hired as an additional editor due to the popularity of author and pastor Rob Bell, the speaker in all 24 of the roughly 12 minute long videos. Rob was voted by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world during the heyday of the NOOMA® film releases, and I was fortunate to be on the team of creatives that made them. The name NOOMA was taken from the phonetic spelling of the Greek word πνευμα (pneuma), meaning "breath" or "spirit." The 24 films in the series approached a wide variety of topics with a spiritual earnestness that resonated with millions of people around the world. I experienced incredible professional growth during my nine years at Flannel and learned from talented creative directors, storytellers, project managers, graphic designers, web developers, and fundraising coordinators.

I think NOOMA® Corner | 023 was my favorite. Proceeds from the film sponsored families in the Dominican Republic living in poverty.
